Coming up in the middle of July is the yearly Ho’olaule’a at Alondra Park where a veritable melting pot of Pacific Island cultures get together in order to share their dances and music, food, and crafts. It is a great way for anyone to get a quick intro into the interaction of the Pacific Island community and to become a part of it for ones self. For the first time, Hālau Hula O Noelani will be performing! It is a very exciting event for us as our kumu and her husband, in the past, have been a part of the Ho’olaule’a court as well as one of our instructors performed the opening oli for Ho’olaule’a a few years back. So come out and enjoy great entertainment and great food and be sure to check out the various vendors hawking their wares!
